We design, manufacture, and supply PCAP touch screens and resistive touch screens for industrial displays, control panels, kiosks, EV chargers, and embedded equipment.

Standard touch screens can be used as a starting point. For custom projects, the size, cover glass, FPC, sensor structure, surface treatment, and LCD bonding can be adjusted according to the application.

Both PCAP and resistive touch screens can be supplied as separate touch panels or integrated touch assemblies, depending on the project. You can also check our reference touch screen sizes as a starting point.

BONDING OPTIONS

Air Bonding or Optical Bonding?

The right bonding method depends on the operating environment, readability requirement, service strategy, and project budget.

Air bonding vs optical bonding structure for industrial touch screens
Air bonding leaves an air gap between the touch panel and LCD. Optical bonding fills this space with OCA or OCR adhesive.
Decision Factor Air Bonding OCA / OCR Optical Bonding
Assembly The touch panel is fixed around the perimeter, leaving an air gap above the LCD. The full space between the touch panel and LCD is filled with optical adhesive.
Typical Application Indoor equipment and cost-controlled projects with standard readability requirements. Outdoor, high-brightness, sealed, or thick-cover-glass applications.
Display Readability Suitable for normal indoor viewing, with more internal reflection from the air gap. Lower internal reflection and improved apparent contrast under strong ambient light.
Moisture & Fogging The air gap may trap moisture if the final assembly is not properly sealed. Removes the internal air gap and reduces the risk of fogging between the bonded layers.
Repair & Replacement Generally easier to separate, repair, or replace. Rework is more process-dependent and normally requires specialized equipment.

SELECTION GUIDANCE

Air bonding is often sufficient when the equipment is used indoors and cost or easier repair is the main priority.

Optical bonding should be reviewed when sunlight readability, lower reflection, sealing, or reduced internal fogging risk is important.

Yes. The sensor outline, cover glass dimensions, view area, active area, glass thickness, FPC direction, connector position, and mounting clearances can be reviewed around your LCD drawing and enclosure design.

In many cases, yes. Please send the existing part number or drawing, LCD model, overall dimensions, FPC and connector details, and clear photos of the current assembly. We will compare the mechanical dimensions, touch interface, controller, and installation requirements before proposing a replacement.

PCAP is generally preferred for multi-touch operation, sealed glass fronts, kiosks, EV chargers, and modern industrial interfaces. Resistive touch is often selected for stylus input, heavy-glove operation, single-touch controls, and replacement of legacy industrial systems. The final choice depends on the operating method, environment, interface, and equipment design.

Yes, these functions can be developed for suitable projects. Performance depends on the cover glass thickness, glove type, water exposure, controller selection, firmware tuning, grounding, electrical noise, bonding method, and final enclosure structure. Validation should be carried out with the complete assembly.

Yes. Controller solutions including EETI, ILITEK, and Goodix can be reviewed, with USB, I²C, or RS-232 interface options depending on the touch technology and project. Selection is based on the host system, operating environment, glass thickness, cable arrangement, and electrical-noise conditions.

Both options are available. We can supply the touch panel separately, provide a cover-glass touch assembly, or bond the touch screen to the LCD using air bonding, OCA, or OCR optical bonding. The bonding method is selected according to the display structure, operating environment, readability requirement, service strategy, and project budget.

Yes. After the drawing, glass design, FPC, connector, controller, and interface are confirmed, prototypes can be produced for mechanical and functional validation.
